Arlene is a finance and strategy professional experienced in closing high-impact deals and driving transformational change. She is the founder of Brightline Advisors, where she partners with entrepreneurs and executives to build and scale successful businesses. Previously, Arlene invested over $23 million in growth capital with the Canadian Business Growth Fund and spent several years on CIBC Capital Markets’ M&A Investment Banking team, advising on transactions totaling $7 billion. She brings cross-industry expertise, having also led Strategy for a national pharmaceutical company. Arlene holds an Honors Business Administration degree from Ivey Business School, graduating with distinction.

Chris is an entrepreneurially minded executive with a strong analytics and operational background. Chris currently serves as CFO of Flashfood, a Toronto-based grocery marketplace. Previously, Chris led Finance and Operations in a variety of start-ups including (i) GoBolt, a series C tech-enabled fulfillment and last mile solutions provider with over $150 million in revenue, (ii) Goodfood, a public meal kit delivery business, and (iii) Vitaly, an e-commerce accessory retailer with $40 million in annual revenue. Chris has also been part of the pre-launch team at a start-up hedge fund with over $400 million in AUM today and has four years of investment banking experience. Chris received his MBA from INSEAD and his bachelor (honors) from Queens University.
